This town of 3,400 people in west central Connecticut is a December destination for some: they drop off Christmas mail at the post office to go out with a Bethlehem postmark.
Routes 61 and 132 pass through town; even though the scenery is pleasantly rural, neither road has qualified for the state's Scenic Road system.
Route 132 was one of a handful of routes the state wanted to divest in the early 1960s.
